Get Booking Alerts via Text

Your booking form already sends email notifications to [email protected]. Follow the steps below to also receive those notifications as text messages on your phone — no extra apps or subscriptions needed.

How email-to-SMS works

Every major US carrier provides a free email-to-SMS gateway — a special email address that converts any email into a text message delivered to your phone. When a customer submits a booking request, the Inbox system sends a notification email to whatever address you configure. If that address is your carrier's SMS gateway, the notification lands as a text.

Setup Steps

01

Find your carrier

Look up your phone carrier in the table below. If you're unsure, check Settings → About Phone on your device, or look at your monthly bill.

02

Build your SMS email address

Replace "10digitnumber" in the gateway address with your 10-digit phone number (no dashes, spaces, or country code). Example: if your number is (310) 555-1234 on T-Mobile, your SMS email is [email protected].

03

Update your notification email

Go to your Inbox settings and update the notification email to your SMS gateway address. Every new booking or quote request will then arrive as a text on your phone.

04

Test it

Submit a test booking through your contact page and confirm the text arrives. If it doesn't come through within 2 minutes, double-check the gateway address and try the MMS gateway instead.

T-Mobile

Same gateway handles both SMS and MMS.

Verizon

Use vtext.com for plain text. vzwpix.com for picture messages.

Cricket Wireless

Cricket runs on AT&T network. Try AT&T gateway as a backup.

Metro by T-Mobile

Runs on T-Mobile network. T-Mobile gateway also works.

Google Fi

Same gateway for SMS and MMS.

Tips & Troubleshooting

Keep both email and text

You can only set one notification address in Inbox. To get both email and text, set up a Gmail filter that auto-forwards booking emails to your SMS gateway, then keep your Gmail as the notification address.

Text didn't arrive?

Check that you used the right gateway for your carrier. Some carriers block emails from unknown senders — try sending a test email to your gateway address from Gmail first to whitelist it.

Message gets cut off

SMS messages are limited to 160 characters. Long booking details may arrive as multiple texts. This is normal — all the info is still there, just split across messages.

Switched carriers?

If you change phone carriers, remember to update your notification email to the new carrier's gateway address. The old gateway will stop working immediately after the switch.
